Almost didn't stop because the spouse thought the exterior was cheesy and touristy looking. The parking lot was half-full, even on a Monday @ 6pm. I pulled in despite the spousal abuse. We're glad I did. The big sellers here are the "Mexican Street Foods" which is a variety of tacos. $2 Tamales on Sunday, $5 Mojito's on Monday. We decided on traditional dinners. We ordered Classic Mojito's, Chile Rellenos, and Carnitas Burrito. The Mojito's were properly prepared, with lime, muddled mint & simple syrup. Very tasty. Went down way to fast. Only $5 on Mondays! Handmade chips and salsa start everything off right: The Chile Rellenos were battered every so slightly in egg and stuffed with queso cheese. The red sauce did not drown out the chiles. A few seeds remained just to give a good kick. Served with rice and beans. The Carnitas Burrito was stuffed with tender pulled pork heated gently in a flat top grille. It was smothered in a wonderful queso sauce. Served with rice and salad. The food was quite good considering it's in St. Augustine, a major tourist trap. Cantina Louie's is a loud, family style cantina with big, purple booths. By the time we left this place almost packed with repeat customers. We'll be back. Did I mention Mojito's are only 5 bucks on Mondays? :D :D :D

Stopped in here with my boyfriend at 5:45 Tuesday evening. We were well greeted and seated right away. And, that was it! No one came to our table for drink orders or to explain a Tuesday night taco special we heard about so, at 6:05 we left. Nothing more to say.

Muy delicioso!! Loved this place. I had a shrimp taco and a sope. Yummy!! Get the siracha shrimp taco- excellent!! So good! Great cocktails and margaritas. Try the jalepeno margarita. Would eat here a few times per week if I could! Loved it!

Despite the long wait and our waiters monotone demeanor we had a decent time. The food was good, West Coast Burrito was delicious and pretty big. I loved that it came with a bit of queso and chips. My husband and our friends had tacos, which looked fresh. They all said they were "Ok" nothing special though. Another friend got the California Burrito and said it had hardly any chicken in it. We got the 1862 Margarita, which was their specialty margarita with a knockoff Grand Marnier, not impressed. Give me the real thing please, it tasted like straight sour mix. Nice to have a Mexican restaurant a little nicer than other options in town, but I will still be driving to TacoLu in Jax.

What's not to like about Cantina Louie?!?!?! Food is so good and service has always been excellent. Guacamole is yummy and chicken and shrimp nachos are great. Portion size is really large and price is very reasonable. We eat here at least two times monthly!!!!!

Food was phenomenal. Price was awesome. Waiting staff was good. I've never had a better plate with the size of the are, flavor, and presentation. My wife and I had such a good experience that we now prefer this place over many of the other similar restaurants in Jacksonville and St Augustine and will be frequent visitors.

This place is my old reliable for great Mexican. I've had multiple menu items but my fave is the shrimp burritos. I love the queso dips. The salsa is great. The margaritas they make are off the hook delicious without heart burn as the Ingredients are fresh and so is the sour mix.

Torta de Carnitas was very good. The service was fast, friendly, and very accommodating. Less than $10 and it was every bit worth 15. This place is so cute. The decor is really cool and the bathrooms are clean and smell fresh. That is important to me. If the bathrooms are nasty, I will leave immediately. I'll definitely be back soon!!

Considering that I am friends with the family and the owners and that I know some of the workers there I will be as nice and polite as possible. As someone in the industry , as a restaurant manager and somebody that has actually lived in Mexico and eatin the street food, I will tell you that the food itself is great. everything that came out was great. properly cooked and proper temperature and the flavors were excellent. We will most definitely be going back !! Our server on the other hand... requires a slight bit more!!! according to the check our servers name was William although I never really heard em say it he just came up mumbled quietly did not smile did not ask us if we want an appetizer simply asked us if we like an ice water and then walk away. When he returned I asked him simply what are your top shelf tequilas? he looked at me and said I think we have patron but I'm not really sure about anything else. I laughed and said okay and then we moved on to the next option I asked him how much a strawberry margarita was he said it's $6.99 after it came out it was a dollar up charge just for the word strawberry. He brought us dirty silverware and then he kept coming back not asking anything not saying anything when it was time to put in the order he simply walked up quietly stood there looking at us awkwardly until I said something. One of his final mistakes was when he came to refill my water glass he simply brought a water cup from what seems like another table with only a tiny bit of water in it leaned over without asking or saying anything and just dumped it in my glass then walked away again without saying a thing. Amazingly a few minutes later after he I am assuming was informed of who I was decided to step up and say things bring an actual picture of water, smile, ask how we were doing, ask how the food was and then brought me my check!! honestly though William a little too late. When I asked 1 of the other servers to come over who is actually a friend of our families I asked him the same questions that I tried asking william and he answered every 1 of them perfectly and he even knew all the specials in even had recommendations like a normal server should. so maybe the old should step back and learn from the young....

Just finished dinner here. Good Mexican food, good salsa. But what made this a great dinner experience was our server Sam. She was amazing, patient, very kind, and super efficient. I strongly suggest eating here and be sure to ask for Sam!

We ate here for the first time today and loved it. Eden was the best server we've had in a long time. We came with my husband and I and our 3 kids. They had a Hispanic foods kids menu which we appreciated. I had the ceviche street tacos and my husband had the tacos pastor. We were very happy with the quality and timeliness of our food. We had a Bloody Mary too, which was a tasty mexican flare on it with chile salt. They had a bunch of creative salsas too. For our family of 5, with food left to spare and including 2 cocktails, it was about sixty bucks. Pretty killer deal for such awesome Mexican food and great service. We will be back for sure and will recommend it.

Our server, Katey was sweet as pie and her recommendations were perfect! Always friendly and a clean place to eat! I ordered the Pomegranate Paloma and boy, is it ever delicious! Definitely a great addition to Saint A and a favorite date night spot.

Worst place to go! To start they don't even who is the chef ...amazing but true. Well the Carne asada i requested medium , it was well done and gummy chewy and you can tell by the rice in the plate that it was heated in the microwave. The young guy who was my server did not have any clue about Mexican food or anything related to be a good server. He didn't ask me for a dessert or maybe an after dinner drink. To be honest they need to offer training to their employee and get a better Chef.

Pretty damn good! Not going to blow your hair back but it's clean, nice decor and quick service will get my business back. Chirizo is excellent very light and not oily. Try the hot salsa too!

Order off the Mexican Street Food menu. Ask for Edgar, he made this Orlando family's day. Get the Ceviche Taco. They rocked.

Surprisingly good. Normally when a restaurant advertises itself as "street" food it's not even close. Especially if its stuck next to a longhorn steakhouse and Applebee's. Cantinas comes closer than most "safe" spots in this area. Happy to see sopes on the menu which can be hard to find. Dos Equis on draft. Not enough servers but service was good.

I was going to post pictures, but when the food came I forgot about everything but eating it! I ordered the tongue and ceviche tacos as well as a tamale. The tongue was tender, mild and took well to the fresh cilantro and chopped onion that accompanied the corn taco and the ceviche taco was cool, crisp and fresh. The tamale was fantastic, perhaps the best I've had. Rather than the traditionally heavy seasonings, this example was mild enough that you could really taste and appreciate three smokey flavors the delicate corn filling picked up from being cooked in the husk wrapping. Definitely fresh made! My fiancee ordered the west coast burrito and loved every bite. The service was friendly and enthusiastic. Our only complaint is that our waiter forgot to offer us dessert (which we ordered anyway)! We couldn't decide between the churros and the flan (the only two desserts they offer) so we ordered both. The churros were fresh, hot, crisp and delicious;I loved the contrast between the crispy fried dough and the Bavarian cream center. The flan was great as well, but might could have been a tiny bit sweeter. Overall, an outstanding value and welcome addition to the crowded St Augustine restaurant scene.

The waiting area is next to the bathroom. Yuck! Their "bar" has no seats and their margaritas were average. Food was okay, but the service was subpar, we ordered tacos without onions and they delivered our order with extra onions. When we told the server he offered a plate and told us to remove the onions. No bueno. The one exception was the manager. When he heard about our problem with the order he quickly went to the kitchen and replaced our order. If you want good "street" mexican food... skip this one and just go to Taco Lu.

Driving thru the area decided to check this place out. My wife and I ordered Taco's. Two steak and two pork. And of course chips and salsa and beer. Chips were stale. Salsa Tastes like tostitos jar salsa. So disappointed. When we received our tacos they were served in soft corn shells. We were not given the choice between that and soft tortilla. The steak tacos were plain no taste. And pork was dry. I took one bite and returned it. The server still charged me for it and when I asked about it. He said he'd have to ask his manager. Maybe this was just a bad experience and there food is usually good. But my wife and I will not be back Oh and two stars because beer was cold and decor is cool.

I loved this restaurant. It's very cozy, the food is very good, the service was on point our server, Skylar was very attentive. And the best part was the flan!, big enough to share!

I ordered the Fajita Quesadilla and it was great! Full of flavor! My daughter has the Carne Asada Fajita and it was very tender and flavorful! I see a return trip soon!

I was starving and not being from the area decided to stop in because I liked the skulls on their sign. I was even too hungry to check Yelp first too. I have to say I'm glad I didn't do a Yelp, cause this place was really good. They have a liquor license, which is always a plus, and Negra Modelo. We started with the shrimp ceviche, which was great. I love ceviche, but I'm not particularly a fan of shrimp ceviche. The shrimp ceviche was the only one they had, so I thought I'd give it try and was happy I did. My wife had the sopes, and I sampled the different pork tacos from the Street Food section. We both enjoyed our lunch. The old wifey says she wants to go back there while we're down here. I'm done for that. Forget what the haters say, give this spot a shot for some simple Mexican cuisine.

This place is great. Ate here a few times by myself but took my family here tonight. Restaurant was very busy but the food was coming out of the kitchen fast. Margaritas are delicious and the burritos are big and delicious. Would recommend to everyone

Parking lot was packed, we expected a long wait, but much to our surprise we were seated right away. Our server was with us immediately. We ordered our drinks & he brought them right out. Appetizers and entrees were ordered (fajita nachos, chimichanga & burrito fresco). Nachos were served within minutes and steaming hot-- and amazing! Could have made them my whole meal! Entrees were quickly delivered and were just as good. Service was outstanding! Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Will definitely be back!

  • Bryan W.

The drinks are way over priced. The food is average at best. I got upcharged a crazy amount for black beans. When they came out you could tell they were canned beans that had been sitting in a pot all day. Not fresh at all. Chips stale. At the time, I tried to order take out and they told me you couldnt do to go orders. Too many other good mexican places in town to go to this one again.

I thought the food was great. I had two of the "street tacos". It came with four handmade corn tortillas and enough filling for all four. Most delicious.

Had Lunch here for the first time this week. We had 3 moms and 4 kids with us. The servers could not have been any nicer or more helpful. A very kid friendly place and the food was fast, hot and delicious. I was so impressed by the service and attention. Will definitely go back.

My girlfreind has passed by this place ever since she moved to the area. She always talked about wanting to go there because of the constantly full parking lot. By coincidence, we had the opportunity to stop on our way to St. Augustine today. There is a reason the parking lot is always full. This is my new favorite Mexican resteraunt in the state of Florida. We started with the guacamole and queso dip. Chips werent my favorite, but everything after that didn't dissappoint. I would suggest they perhaps give you the option of having flour chips, which would have sent this over the top. I asked our waiter, Stephen, about sampling several of the salsas. "Not a problem," he responded. "I'll bring one of each out." They were phenomnel. The pastor was a savory caynne concotion. not to hot, not too spicy. The tomatillo was good (not as good as mine, but as good as you'll find in a resteraunt.) I think my favorite was the Poblano... the earthiness of the pepper melded perfectly with the guac and the queso. a real high point. Faith likes to be surprised. She asked Stephen what he would eat off the menu and he highlighted nearly a dozen items. When she asked him to pick, Stephen didn't dissapoint. She got two tacos: the Fresco (steak and queso fresco) and the Pastor (seasoned, slow-roasted pork reminiscent of what I've eaten off street carts in San Jose Del Cabo.) I opted for the West Coast Burrito, featuring fresh guac, chicken, vegies and a flour tortilla and an intersting twist: French fries. Not usually a big yard bird fan, but this burrito (on a flour tortillla, grilled to perfection) was to die for. Ms. Nicole was fantastic with Faith's 4-year-old, Brady. This is a must do when in the St. Augustine area. It's now in direct competition with O'Steen's for us. Fortunately, O'Steen's is closed on Mondays.

As a big fan of Mexican resturaunts, I find this one is somwhere between your run of the mill mexican joint and cantina laredo gourmet mexican, but closer to the run of the mill mexican. Long story short they don't have frozen margaritas which was kind of disapointing. With out frozen I did try a margarita on the rocks which was good, but I found their mix too sweet. Now to the food, I got a mexican combo, chile rellano, taca and whatever it doesn't matter it is just the same as casa maria, or any other cheap mexican. However, there is one item that I tried that is an absolute home run the surf and turf taco, it was by far the best thing about this resturaunt. Service was ok but not amazing. Overall the next time I go here either by choice or tagging along I will be happy getting 3 of those surf and turfs and a hopefully frozen margarita. I don't understand why they have frozen margaritas on the menu? If you do go here, SURF AND TURF taco, it won't disapoint.

I overlooked a lot because they were new & I had such high hopes of having a good Mexican restaurant in St. Augustine. Today was a 100% fail "besides the waiter being cute" Chips were greasy, stale & tasted so bad that buying the cheese dip was a total waste of money. I asked for fresh chips & told the waiter to please have your manager taste them "I think the oil is bad" He returned with a new basket of the same uneatable chips. So, everything fried was uneatable. The oil soaked chile relleno almost killed me! So, I thought what could possible go wrong with a soft taco :)) I bite into my shrimp taco & it had cilantro & uncooked clear shrimp in it. "Cilantro doesn't come on the shrimp taco" yucky! I just smiled & said thank you, paid the bill & left. I've tried to have them redo messed up orders in the past. The food runners get a huge attitude. One of the people with the bad tude was some manager of shorts. PS: It's not Mexican street food "as stated" its just a regular Mexican restaurant. The list just goes on & on but Ok so now I have to go find myself something to eat. :((

It's been a week or so of dealing with the server's tip fraud on my card. I informed the manager (Miguel) of the incident, he defended our server saying he's an awesome guy who must have been having a bad day. Days later I got in touch with the owner of the restaurant, Alma. Alma either didn't believe me or didn't care that her staff steals from customers. She was completely apathetic and made it clear that she was not going to discipline her staff or do anything about it except adjust the few dollars which were fraudulent (and, lol, wished me a "blessed day"). Would have been nice to waive the whole check, but I guess she needs the $20 more than I do being as pathetic of a restauranteur as she is. Incompetant servers, leanient managers, negligent owner. The garbage goes all the way up the line here. Stay away.

After sitting for almost 10 mins & having to complain after watching people who had just been seated receive service we finally were waited on. The food was great, but apparently complaining about no service pissed our waiter off who was the bartender & charged our drinks as top shelf when we asked for well. If the food hadn't been amazing I would of complained about being charged double for our drinks, instead the waiter didn't receive a tip & we ordered to go every time after that.

Went in June 10th. Though it is their first week open, improvements are needed. Hostess overlooked our name. Server never checked in. Poor service to say the least. Good carnitas good margaritas good chips.

It was horrible. Everything was microwaved, maybe it was too busy to keep up. First Mexican meal we didn't finish. I think the owner came up later and tried to say it wasn't microwaved, but I know too much about food to believe that. Aren't chimis supposed to be crunchy?

My wife and I ate here last night for the first time and we're glad we did. We were seated quickly on a busy Friday night. Our server was excellent. They were happy to make a menu substitution for my wife at no extra charge, she wanted all three enchiladas to be cheese. I ordered the chicken chimichanga. It was great to finally find a Mexican restaurant with perfectly seasoned shredded chicken. Normally I get sick of a chimichanga half way through, but this was one was too delicious to stop eating. The decor is fun and authentic, even the pendant lights are made in Mexico. The whole place has a colorful dia del muerto theme. It was a little loud when we arrived at the busiest time of night, but that is to be expected on a busy night in a place with a bar. It got quieter later on. I look forward to my next visit when I will try some of the more unique food options available.

Really good food here, the decor was inviting, cute and quirky. I had tacos de pastor and a sunny side taco. They were both delicious and flavorful. Our server was competent and timely. I will definitely be back to try more from their large menu.

They were very busy on a Tuesday night! Well worth the wait! I got a #8 which is a burrito, enchilada and something else yummy. Margaritas were standard and good! Service was great! Queso fundido was fantastic! I would definitely go back!

  • Matthew C.

Really great place and I think it will be around for a while. They just need some time to figure things out. I could drink the margaritas all day, the salsas are great, and the tacos are authentic - simple and good! I will go back for sure.

  • Sandy R.

I'm giving this place 3 stars because I really like the decor. overpriced shitty tacos. the west coast burrito was too dry for my liking as well. they didn't have tortas that were on their menu. overall, I don't think I'll be going back again.

The food was good by normal standards (decent by my discerning Mexican standards, which is saying a lot since I'm picky), the service was also good if a bit strange with the way the server made conversation (though maybe I can blame that on my chatty mother) but what I cannot forgive and have been willfully trying to put out of my mind in the hopes that it was a fluke was the ROACH I spied creeping on top of the booth opposite me. Yes, a ROACH or what looked an awful lot like one. I didn't want to gross my mom out so I didn't make a fuss, so while she was in the bathroom I calmly got up and crushed the creature underfoot when it scurried across the floor. I truly, truly want to believe it was one that just made its way inside that same day. If only because I'd like to try the tacos without dry-heaving. We'll see if I ever get there. But in any case, this place needs to get it together and keep a tighter lid on, so to speak. Also my mom said the bathrooms were horrible and needed cleaning/upkeep. After the bug incident, I believe her.

Bummer Street if you ask me. Drove up from Palm Coast dreaming of good, real Mexican street food and got seriously disappointed. Salsa from a jar or can and some of the worst rice I have ever tasted. The rice was so bad that I have to wonder if the cook made a mistake today as I have never tasted Mexican rice with so much garlic in it that I actually stopped eating it. The rest of the food was better than Taco Bell, but at $10 each for lunch that would be expected. Our server got our order wrong (twice) but was friendly and glad to fix the error. I really miss Mexican food and don't know why I can't find it here in Florida. Bottom line...save your $$$...Cantina Louie doesn't know what Mexican Street Food really is.

  • Nealie A.

Chorizo taco was delicious but the shrimp ceviche taco lacked flavor. The spicy icon led me to believe it would have heat but it didn't. No cilantro as the menu mentioned so had to ask for it. Recommend you request a salsa also. Street corn was fantastic but only available weekends....i would recommend adding it all week! Loved the atmosphere and the wait staff was very attentive! Will definitely go back when in St Augustine! Bought a T-shirt cause the logo is awesome!

I couldn't believe the parking lot has been full everyday I' ve driven past. I had to stop there today - got the last parking spot! It was cold inside so the A/C has been fixed. We only waited inside for 5 minutes to get seated. I got the two chicken enchiladas w/ rice and refried beans. It was very tasty. My wife got the fajita plate and it was excellent too. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and the chicken very tender and seasoned. I will definitely go back. It was the best Mexican food I've had in a while and it only cost $20 for both of us for lunch.. N ow I know why the parking lot is always full!

We wanted to grab a quick but different meal that wasn't part of national chain and we were very happy with our choice. Cantina Louie is relaxed and comfortable. Great decor, music, and general ambience. The food is delicious and service is great. Will definitely return again whenever I'm in Saint Augustine!

Excellent tacos! The salsa is great! First timers...we were on our way to another taco shop, but passed this on the way and HAD to stop in...we'll definitely be back down from Jacksonville!!! The sunny side up taco is LEGIT! Love the authentic Mexican decor and fear looking menu!

My whole family wasn't impressed with this place. My 9 year old son is a true mexican food critic and says this place is ok. The chips are rarely hot and fresh which is a big deal for us. There are two other restaurants In town that blow this place out of the water. We probably won't go here again because there are better options especially when craving mexican food.

I just swung into this place on the way out of town and I absolutely loved it, from the Dia de Muertos decor to the service to the food (and margaritas!). Though we were seated right at peak lunch hour, we were served quickly with chips and salsa. I asked for an order of queso and it arrived at the table in less than a minute. The salsa was great, not too onion-y or cilantro-y. I loved the queso dip, as did my daughter who ate almost the entire dish. I ordered the vegetarian burrito which had a medley of fresh vegetables well seasoned and wrapped in a grilled flour tortilla and smothered in more queso. Every bite was delicious. My husband ordered the California Burrito and also gave that 5 stars. We both added Margaritas because they were the special of the day (there are different specials everyday, so keep coming back!) and they were phenomenal. Thank you for a great meal! We'll definitely try to make the trip back to St. Augustine to dine here again!

Been here twice so far and I love it. First time I went I tried the chicken taco salad which was delicious! Second time I went I had the chilaquiles roja. Again, delicious. They're reasonably priced and the waiter was great. The restuarant had a beautiful "dia de los muertos" feel. Very vibrant and fun in my opinion.

Even though this restaurant had terrible reviews I decided to give it a chance. I'm so glad I did because it is the most disgusting place I've been to in this area and had I been in a rush to eat I would be very upset. The hostess was rude, the waiter was the most incompetent and impatient person who was unwilling to explain anything on the very confusing menu. Also, not friendly to vegetarians or people who simply do not want meat smothered all over their food. The one star represents the guacamole. Although $6 it was real good.

This place is excellent. Not only does it have a fun atmosphere, the food is tops! Fantastic variety of street tacos, entrees and drinks. I came here with my husband and parents while we were here for a visit and we each selected several different things and all of them were tasty. Since we went on the weekend, street corn and tamales were on the menu and both were very good. I had the skinny margarita and my husband had a Mojitos and they were great too. Our server was attentive. Do yourself a favor and go! We will definitely go here again on our next visit. We can't wait to try more menu items!

Previously I gave three stars. I've dropped it to two. I was so excited when they were opening. Tried three separate visits. The quality was hit or miss the first time, but what was good was very good and what wasn't good was mediocre. Unfortunately, on the next visit it went to mostly mediocre and some not good at all. And on the third visit the quality dropped some more. So now I just won't return. For Mexican food, I would rather spend my money at Mi Carnal or at El Potro.

I have been married to a Mexican man for 25 years and I cook real authentic mexican food and yes it is very hard to find a restaurant tha the sell real authentic mexican food . There just is none here but with that being said going to these so called real authentic mexican restaurants you can't even get good food is sad but for this place we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food . Well you are eating watch the staff so many waiters not waitresses and they work well together. they all really care about the guest. Bathrooms clean which is a major factor for me if I eat at any restaurant they must have a clean bathroom or I leave. If u don't take care of your bathroom you took take care of your kitchen. Give this a place a try

I really like this place. It's not without faults. The service is not consistent. Sometimes, I have a wonderful server who is very attentive but the kitchen takes forever on the food, or I have a mediocre server but fast food service. Love the queso and guacamole. The carnitas burrito gives me life! I actually like the atmosphere a lot with the decor and music. I've lived here for 26 years (my whole damn life), and this is the busiest I've ever seen this location. My biggest complaint is that whatever chemical they use to clean the tables with is too strong! It permeates the area around where ever it's sprayed and lingers. Not appetizing when you're trying to eat.

Maybe it's a street food thing, in that I just don't get it. But to me, this was a very average Mexican restaurant whose menu moved the a la carte taco section up front, featuring corn and flour tortilla soft tacos of various sorts. But, I would have been fine with a little linguistic license on their part had the food been more than average. We had 5 of the street food selections. The portion sizes are nice. The only one that stood out was the veggie tostada, and it dropped a couple of stars because the shell was stale. The shrimp in the shrimp ceviche taco (I love shrimp ceviche) was barely marinated...and suffered the same blandness as the rest of the food. Service was as others have noted, pretty poor. Our greeting at the door was very friendly, but our server was pretty weak. He didn't handle simple questions like guidance on portion sizes (how many of these should I order basically), to a very odd refill of our tea from another glass of tea with ice. Can you guys maybe get a pitcher or two for tea refills? I know, picky. Finally, I did my teen years in the 1970s. I'm a big fan of classic rock...Zep, Floyd, the Who...I love them all mostly. But not at dinner and not at about 8 on the dial. Turn the volume down guys, even if the whole street fare thing calls for classic rock. In the end, the wife said it simply. I can make "mexican food" like this at home, better than this. I can't say we'll be back, but I won't tell you to stay away either...this one seems to be more a matter of taste than most.

We were greeted immediately and were seated shortly after. I loved the funky interior of this place and though it was quite busy, the acoustics of the restaurant were such that one never had to raise their voice to hold a good conversation. I definitely suggest ordering the chips and salsa and make sure to get the habanero salsa - nice and spicey hot. I ordered the Enchilada Supreme and it was quite good - with yellow rice and beans and fresh veggies, this dish did not disappoint. Our server was so kind in making sure our drinks were filled and that we had enough hot sauces for our meal. All in all, a great time with my family. Memories were made and I will most definitely visit again when I am in town next.

Food was phenomenal. Price was awesome. Waiting staff was good. I've never had a better plate with the size of the are, flavor, and presentation.

I have eaten food from here 3 times. Twice in restaurant and once to go. All 3 times it was excellent. I have ordered a variety of different things. The service was good also. No complaints will continue to be back.

Very disappointed! Arrived @ restaurant @ 3pm today only to find a note on the door saying sorry but we are closed for the rest of the day. Not a great way to start a business!

Really great place and I think it will be around for a while. They just need some time to figure things out. I could drink the margaritas all day, the salsas are great, and the tacos are authentic - simple and good! I will go back for sure.

I'm giving this place 3 stars because I really like the decor. overpriced shitty tacos. the west coast burrito was too dry for my liking as well. they didn't have tortas that were on their menu. overall, I don't think I'll be going back again.

Had Lunch here for the first time this week. We had 3 moms and 4 kids with us. The servers could not have been any nicer or more helpful. A very kid friendly place and the food was fast, hot and delicious. I was so impressed by the service and attention. Will definitely go back.

Great lunch specials, fajitas for $10.00. Good music, fresh tortillas, tasty margaritas. Try the sope, it's amazing.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
